1972 Triumph T150 Trident

Striking in the one year only colour, this Triumph Trident is a great example, a very clean bike that starts easy and rides great. Fitted with Alloy rims running with Dunlop TT100 tyres as would have been fitted when new, and you can’t mistake the Raygun silencers, although they would have been fitted to the earlier models we can see why the last owner fitted them as they are iconic.

This was the first and only Triumph with three cylinders and was introduced in September 1968 initially for the US market. At the time, American demand dictated machines with higher performance yet more refinement than the established twin-cylinder, 650cc models.

The design of the cylinder-head hemispheres and valve gear followed closely that of the twins. In the early 1970s, production-racing versions were notably successful in the United States and the Isle of Man. The BSA Rocket 3 was almost identical to the Trident.
